My father passed away this morning. It was his own decision to stop the treatments that were keeping him alive. He went to the Sinai for rehab but realized he was too tired and too weak. And asked them to let him go.
I cannot possibly express my gratitude for the level of care and sensitivity to not only my dad but the entire family. Every moment was about his comfort and our feelings. For 4 days we waited while they offered us a hospitality room to sleep or shower. They wheeled in trays of snacks and hot drinks. And every hour checking and making sure he was as calm and comfortable as humanly possible. This experience went beyond hospital care. This staff has hearts of gold and we were blessed to have my father's passing receive this amount of respect and dignity. God bless them all.
Need more staff. There are very, very sick patients that get ignored by their nurses. Janitorial supervisors treat the janitors like trash. At night they need security that pays attention and doesnt sleep or watch movies while on the clock. This place ALWAYS smells of urine and feces. Once your in as a patient you never leave alive 90% of the time. Dont send your loved ones go there!
They are the best!! If you want to get better. Go here!!
I've had a family member here a number of times and honestly if there was another option that wasn't so far they would be there because this place is horrible. I don't put it all in the nurses because 8 think management understaffs big time and the patients suffer because of it. They do not put their patients first highly don't recommend this place.
Came from good samariten to here thursday 8/2/17....been to numerous hosp., never a rehab....the specialists here are superlative....2nd to none....constant affirmation to get u well...thank u N.E. SINAI
